Kayak Fishing
Before you download a new fishing kayak, you’ll want to consider a few accessories, you might want to add to the boat to increase your Creature Comforts while you’re out on the water. Taking these points are installed, will make your day much easier and will ensure that you are ready to go fishing again next weekend, rather than fear the idea of being on a small kayak for more than a few hours at a time.
A rod holder, either flush mounted to the kayak, or installed on a leg to be angled in some posts are a great addition to have on your boat. By being able to rest your fishing rods in a place where you can quickly grab them, for use in either trolling, or just padding along, you will be able to actually relax. If you do not have them installed, you will have to deal with kicking your rods and reels, possibly over the side of the boat. It is a mistake that can easily be avoided.
If you’re an avid kayak fishermen, so you’ve probably been in the position of having to choose between your rod and your paddle. If you install a kayak guide on the boat, you will be able to tether your paddle to the side of it while you put it into the water to fight the fish. It is recommended that you buy a paddle float to go with string to ensure that your paddle does not sink if it is not sealed. Some metal models of kayak paddles will sink like a brick, so make sure you have adequate flotation.
Have a fish box on the back of the kayak is another good way to sit back and relax without having your fishing tackle thrown across the front of the boat. A small egg crate style box is all you need is a couple of rod holders on the subject. Use of loose boards and plastic fishing tackle boxes for disposal, you can line them up in a nice condition, while still holding your lunch and other required protective equipment within close reach. These few accessories will add up to help you to really enjoy your day on the water, instead of feeling miserable, when you think back on the tour.

I would like to add one thing that. The most obvious one, which applies to fishing from any kind of small boat is a Life jacket (aka “Life-Preserver”), in case you end up going for a swim. You may also want to invest in a survival + First-aid kit, for in case you get stranded in the middle of no where.
A big thumbs up to James’ comment. When your playing with the “BIG FISH”, safety is first. Of course, you probably thought it was a ‘no-brainer’ and that’s why it wasn’t mentioned.
